Principal Consultant Cloud Engineering (L4) – Delivery Team New Clients (m/w/d)

As a Principal Consultant Cloud Engineering (L4) in our Delivery Team New Clients, you will lead shorter, high-impact cloud engagements and support pre-sales engineering with prototypes, technical discovery, and solution shaping. The focus is on consulting, rapid delivery, and customer enablement, including custom workshops and training to build lasting cloud engineering capabilities within customer teams.
Your salary will be based on your experience and skills, according to our compensation ranges. For a Principal Consultant Cloud Engineering (L4), the compensation range for a full-time position is between 90.000 € and 105.000 € per year.

Your profile:
- You bring extensive experience in cloud engineering and consulting, and you operate confidently at principal level (L4).
- You have a strong experience delivering short, outcome-focused projects end-to-end with high ownership.
- You are skilled in rapid prototyping to validate ideas and de-risk customer decisions (e.g., PoCs, MVPs, architecture spikes).
- You are comfortable in pre-sales engineering: technical discovery, solution design, effort estimation, and clear communication of trade-offs - even when information is incomplete or requirements are still emerging.
- You thrive in direct customer engagement and can quickly build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You are solution-oriented, pragmatic, and know when “good enough now” is better than “perfect later.”
- You proactively spot gaps and create solutions without being asked, for example by creating internal technical guides or tools for recurring customer tasks.
- You are very familiar with dev and ops worlds: you want to run software as well as develop it.
- You actively share knowledge, mentor others, and help raise the engineering bar across teams.
- You are based in Germany, Austria, or Spain.
- You have a good command of German and English (at least C1), both written and spoken.
